There is no comment here. This page looks lonely. Anyway, these are nice photos. I would like to visit the places they were taken one day. Maybe some day. Just maybe. I wonder who you are. I wonder who I am. But, as the internet goes, poetic justice is often interrupted by some 4chaner.
… So these photos are great. Have a nice day.

Beautiful work. Thank you for sharing

Wow….just wow.
These picture are amazing. So much emotion, these images remind me of dreams I’ve had. I don’t want that to make me sound like I’m think I’m spiritual but it’s true. I really do love this, I wish I could live where it looked like that all the time.

nice! i recognize Gdansk on the 6th picture
are more of them taken in Poland ?
May 10th, 2009 at 11:10 pm
Is it just me or do all of these photos look HDR? In the automotive scene HDR has been pretty played out. But when done as artistically as this… It just looks amazing. AWESOME JOB!

This photos are absolutely surreal!!! where were these taken? It ….is just surreal i dont have any words to describe it.

Europe always seemed filthy to me, and this seals the deal.
BRB eatin’ baguette.

These pictures are phenomenal: they are beautiful, yet there is a deep sense of foreboding and loneliness in each… a place that you want to go, but you’re too scared at the same time.
At least that’s what it makes ME feel.
Good job

These are some of the best photos I’ve ever seen. What did you do to get these pictures to look so “Tim Burton,” the angles are incredible.
May 11th, 2009 at 7:24 pm
Yes Mark, it´s all HDR. But anyway, they are fantastic!
May 12th, 2009 at 1:29 am
these photos look great!
May 12th, 2009 at 1:54 am
Don’t some photographers make you want to hand in your camera and get out the crayons
Absolutely magnificent
May 12th, 2009 at 4:25 am
Um… nice photos but how about you let us know where they are from and who took them. Is giving credit to artists not cool anymore?
May 12th, 2009 at 6:09 am
you know, altough some real good photos in there, mostly this is like noob stuff, why take a good photo and change it?
here is the answer “you ain’t a good photographer” sorry but it’s my opinion
May 12th, 2009 at 7:22 am
Nice photos but no words about the authors… at least a link where you’ve found these.
That’s pretty unfair.
May 12th, 2009 at 6:02 pm
There are some amazing photos here, but too many of them are just extremely HDR’d. And, believe you me, extreme HDR, while interesting at first, can get to become really annoying and quite often makes great images pretty much disgusting.
anyway, they’re still pretty good, are these all the same photographer, or different people?
May 13th, 2009 at 5:40 am
Great photos! I just feel like a complete amateur after looking at the awesomeness that are your photos!
Keep it up!
May 13th, 2009 at 8:39 am
I enjoyed the paintings.
May 13th, 2009 at 9:19 am
Perhaps photo-illustration would be a better descriptor for a number of these…
May 13th, 2009 at 9:19 pm
Wow! These photos are gloomy to me. The wet, moist air and grounds, the dark foreboding skies, the neighborhood… I was waiting to see a werewolf or a vampire somewhere in them…
May 13th, 2009 at 10:10 pm
I love to steal from my family. I love to lie and cheat and steal. I have ruined my aunt and uncle. I’m divorcing my asshole of a husband. I am a cunt and a bitch.
May 14th, 2009 at 6:56 am
These photos are wonderful. I couldn’t get enough of gazing at them
May 14th, 2009 at 7:05 am
wow these are great. does anyone know where they were taken?
May 14th, 2009 at 9:54 am
Beautiful
May 14th, 2009 at 7:29 pm
you have a great eye.lovely use of filters,
May 15th, 2009 at 4:19 am
Just unbelievably tranquil and surreal- gorgeous!!
May 17th, 2009 at 9:24 am
It’s not really “photography”, and the lack of source attribution deprives the artist of the credit he/she deserves. That spoils it for me, even though it is nice eye-candy and all.
May 17th, 2009 at 11:58 pm
It looks like Poland
May 18th, 2009 at 7:08 am
Many of these were definitely shot in Poland, most likely in the North – as I recognise a few locations from Gdansk and the surrounding area. Great shots!
May 18th, 2009 at 10:56 am
Im guessing these aren’t real photographs? are they digitally made?
May 18th, 2009 at 11:31 pm
The first photo is of Mariacka Street, and some others are also from Gdansk, or from other towns in northern Poland. I have never seen Gdansk looking more forlorn, abandoned, sad and dirty than in your photos. And yet, the photos are very poetic, beautiful, and intriguing. It disturbs me that places I know so intimately can be seen the way I have never seen them, that the dark poetry of those places was always there, although hidden until you showed it. Thanks .
May 18th, 2009 at 11:38 pm
Who is the author of these photos?
May 20th, 2009 at 2:17 am
Incredible work, my only complaint is that they are not large enough for me to use as wallpapers. I do hope to see more of your photo’s, you have “it”.
May 20th, 2009 at 4:33 am
Inspiring photos.. Would be nice with some descriptions of every photo! =) I just Love dramatic pictures.
May 20th, 2009 at 6:47 am
Most of the pictures are very gloomy…nice work. Some of the pictures remind me of the “Triplets of Belleville” feature, because of the motives and the colors (especially #20). The “Vermeers” deserve praise for the details, although the light differs from that of the paintings.

photography becomes art in an artists hands. well done
May 20th, 2009 at 11:32 am
Some HDR work is really impressive, as are a few pieces here. I agree that some of these pieces are very forboding. And art should be able to go to the forboding. Perhaps the thing is that so many people expect art to look like they expect it to look, and when it doesn’t, it is just too uncomfortable. So it is “forboding,” “filthy,” and in my words: overwrought. In some pieces, where there is direct sunlight, the piece works because the sunlight balances the heaviness of the details. In others this balance is lacking, so the heaviness becomes the theme. Not a bad thing, but by cultural expectations, unexpected. Overall, there are some fine compositions here. Thank you.

Very creepy photos but I like them
June 10th, 2009 at 12:38 am
This is such a cool collection! Thank you for this.
June 10th, 2009 at 3:24 pm
THEY’RE ALL SHOPPED!
June 13th, 2009 at 7:40 pm
Why didn’t you give credit to the artists? Without their work, this page wouldn’t be possible.
June 13th, 2009 at 8:46 pm
I know, but I didn’t know the artists, I just collected these pics around the internet and the sources of these pics didn’t have credit, too:(
June 13th, 2009 at 10:45 pm
I Like them all
June 13th, 2009 at 10:53 pm
awesome…. wow… i like the clicks…. good work
June 21st, 2009 at 10:22 pm

This is the real artist! If you can`t credit the artist then you have no right to take these as your own. It`s called ripping another artists work and is why I don`t post any photos that are not heavily watermarked, which is a shame as it spoils the images.
Please have the decency to ask the artist if you may post HIS work now you know who he is.
July 20th, 2009 at 9:37 am
When I know who’s the artist, I add images credit immediately, I didn’t mean to steal someone work.
July 28th, 2009 at 3:37 am
woooo-OOOO-oooo!!
August 10th, 2009 at 3:06 am
13, 14 and 15 are my favorites – and these look like dandy places to visit… in the fall.
Thanks for posting these.
August 13th, 2009 at 2:31 am
I’m pretty sure that these are all paintings
September 18th, 2009 at 7:50 pm
Hey guys
not paintings at all but sure enough HDR – but why not? A “normal” photo is also far away from what you can see with your eyes – so a HDR is not “cheating” – why does nobody cry when he sees an b/w pic? Thats also not “real”… just my 2 cents
October 7th, 2009 at 6:34 am
Guys, give him a break. he was appreciating another artist’s work, bringing more beauty to all of us, so CHILL! He wasn’t ripping of the artist, is he getting paid for this? No. So take a breather, and enjoy the art. Also, who cares if they are photo shopped? In our world the majority of photos are photo shopped. its another art form. really guys…
October 8th, 2009 at 7:28 pm
They are real pictures, well composed and extremely well post shoot worked with layers in Adobe CS4 of raw pictures and high dynamic range.
Beautifully made. This is photo art amongst the very best.
Thanks for the collection. Don’t forget to accredit them though eh? *cause I know that they aren’t yours.
Take good care and get as much joy as you can everyday.

Very inspiring use of burning and dodging. I have been taking my D5000 out at night lately as well. The consistency of style and your drive for crisp timelessness is wonderful.
